skills. Dr. Moore has
developed and directed
hospital-based and non-profit
health organization CME
programs. He has served as
an educational consultant on
cardiovascular detection and
treatment programs for federal
and state public health
organizations, volunteer health
organizations, medical
societies, pharmaceutical
companies, ad physician
malpractice insurance companies.
After receiving his medical
education at the University of
North Carolina, his internal
medicine residency and
fellowship in hypertension
research and clinical nephrology
were completed at the The Johns
Hopkins Hospital. He is
board certified in internal
medicine and nephrology.
Dr. Moore is a Clinical
Professor of Medicine/Nephrology
at the Hypertension & Vascular
Disease Center of Wake Forest
University School of Medicine
where he is a past Teacher of
the Year. He is also a
Clinical Professor of Medicine
at the University of North
Carolina School of Medicine.
The American Society of
Hypertension recognizes him
as a Hypertension Specialist.
He participated in the
preparation of the 4th, 5th,
6th, and 7th Joint National
Committee Reports on the
Prevention, Detection,
Evaluation, and Treatment of
High Blood Pressure (JNCs), and
he is a consultant to the
National High Blood Pressure
Education Program. He is
co-founder of two volunteer
non-profit, cardiovascular
prevention organizations,
including the Consortium for
Southeastern Hypertension
Control (COSEHC).
